Payroll Specialist

Description

MedTrust and Robinson Aviation (RVA), Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate shall be seated in our Oklahoma City corporate headquarters office. Telework is not available for this position. This person acts as liaison to other departments, or locations in the resolution of payroll issues. Works in a team environment to develop and execute new strategies for improving the efficiency of the payroll function.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately process biweekly and semimonthly payroll for almost 600 employees
Complete payroll functions in order to ensure staff are paid in an timely manner
Process forms such as W2s, W4s, insurance enrollment forms;
Calculate salaries and benefits;
Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies;
Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases;
Answer payroll questions via email or phone
Maintains proper controls, policies, and procedures to produce timely, accurate multi-state payrolls and maintain compliance.
Responsible for payroll compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding payments to employees, tax withholding, deductions from employee pay etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Multi-state experience required
Three (3) years’ experience in roles 100% focused on payroll responsibilities
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Responsible for meeting critical deadlines
Capacity to work independently
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Communicate progress and results of tasks and jobs completed
Honest, ethical, and hardworking with a strong desire to succeed
